J'espère que vous avez bien fêté le réveillon (moi oui en tout cas !), et je vous souhaite tout plein de belles choses pour 2010 : le bonheur, la santé, l'amûûûr, et les succès en tous genres !

Pas vraiment de bonnes résolutions cette année (puisque de toute façon je ne les tiens jamais)... C'est l'époque où on regarde par-dessus sont épaule pour faire le bilan sur l'année écoulée... Pour moi 2009 aura été une année bizarre, avec des hauts très hauts et des bas très bas : ça aura été à la fois l'année de mes premières expos en galerie et l'année de mon plus gros blocage artistique jusqu'ici, l'année où j'aurai plaqué ma thèse et commencé une autre dans un autre labo, l'année où je me serai vraiment demandé qu'est-ce que je fous de ma vie tout en me disant que tout est très bien comme ça. Enfin bref, gardons le meilleur et oublions le reste ! :D

I didn't really make resolutions this year (because obviously I never keep them)... This is the time of the year when you look back over your shoulder on the past year and see how it went... For me 2009 has been a very odd year, with high heights and deep downs : it's been the year of my first gallery shows and the year of my biggest art block ever, the year when I stopped my PhD and started it all over again in a different place, the year when I really wondered what the hell I was doing with my life and yet felt sure it was the right way to go. Well, let's keep the good part and forget the bad ones! :D

I wrote all your names on little papers, folded them carefully and drew the winner from the hat (or rather, bowl...!)
Donc j'ai écrit tous vos noms sur des petits papiers, pliés avec soin, et j'ai tiré le gagnant au hasard dans le chapeau (enfin, le bol...!)

Amusation gribouillesque du soir...

Parce que ce soir.... c'est les vacaaaances !!!
Dix jours rien qu'à moi ou presque, que j'espère bien passer immergée dans la peinture jusqu'aux oreilles pour rattraper retard et frustration du trimestre.
Petite bidouille pour célébrer... voici une "Femme-tronc" rien que pour vous, en attendant des choses sur grand format un peu plus consistantes qui, je l'espère, vont arriver bien vite. ;)

Because tonight is... holidays night!!!
I'm on holidays for ten nice fat days all to myself (or almost so), and I definitely plan to spend these bathing in paint to catch up for all those frustrating months with barely any painting time.
A little doodle done tonight to celebrate... it's called "She who grew branches" (the title is different in French but it wouldn't make sense in English), and hopefully I'll be back very soon with much larger things! ;)
